Fees, Contact & Scheduling

The CPPF is a shared resource that derives its funding from peer-reviewed grants and contracts, industrial grants and contracts, and institutional funding as well as from the National Cancer Institute Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG). The operational philosophy of the CPPF has been to fund its activities through consistent inclusion on grants and contracts submitted by investigators whose work the facility supports. In view of the wide variety of analytical chemical procedures available within the CPPF, specific costs for individual assays are calculated as required based upon estimated technician time, consumable supplies, service agreements, and prorating of instrument repair costs. The CPPF has normal operating hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, early and late sample processing needs are accommodated regularly by CPPF staff. In addition, upon request and after appropriate training, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center researchers may be allowed into CPPF facilities at any time to perform activities pertinent to the mission of the CPPF.

Contact the Facility Co-Directors, Jan H. Beumer, PharmD, PhD or John C. Schmitz, PhD, with service requests or for more information about the facility.
